Mitchell Friedman was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He moved to Hoboken, New Jersey in 1989 and eventually settled in Millburn, New Jersey in 1992 where he and his wife are raising two children age 21 and 16.
Mr. Friedman graduated from the State University of New York at Stony Brook with High Honors and a Bachelors Degree in Political Science in 1981. Subsequently he attended in New York Law School where he met his future wife Tanya and graduated cum laude in 1986.
Of note, Mitchell was an attorney at White, Fleischner & Fino from 1987-1997 where he practiced insurance defense and managed their plaintiff's/subrogation department which involved litigating a substantial case load and generated millions of dollars of recoveries for clients. This practice covered the States of New York and New Jersey.
Mr. Friedman then took a position at Roche & Carter, PA which was an Essex County, New Jersey personal injury law firm from 1997-2003. At that firm, he was in charge of their most profitable pre-litigation department and founded their subrogation department and also generated millions of dollars of recoveries for clients.
Mr. Friedman decided it was time to form his own firm in 2003 and from then up to the present is the partner at Law Offices of Mitchell R. Friedman, P.C. At his firm, they are able to provide the personal attention clients deserve. He has also expanded his practice to include insurance claims and education and special education representation and some municipal court and defense work as well as the aforementioned personal injury and subrogation plaintiff's work. The special education work stems from Mitchell's and his wife's personal experience of raising their own special needs children.
